Evaluación de la oferta gastronómica en los tours de avistamiento de ballenas, isla Santa Clara, provincia de El Oro.

Abstract

Tourism on a world scale, it is considered the main source of economic income, since it has the capacity to generate direct currencies. In Ecuador, tourism is the third source of economy, due to its biodiversity, national and foreign tourists visit the country looking for new adventures. One of them is the whale-watching season that occurs once a year, it starts from June to September, this type of tourism is not practice in all the provinces of the country, just only in the provinces of Manabí, Esmeraldas, Santa Elena and El Oro, through authorized tour operators. The present Project intends to evaluate the gastronomic offer that it offers in whale-watching tours carried out in the Province of El Oro, where there are specifically two operators that offer this type of tours which are Gold Travel and FatumTours Cia Ltda. The methodology to be used It will be descriptive-qualitative where the methodological instrument to use is the interview. The results are based on the caloric value contained in the different menu options offered by each operator.
