Test de valoración de la aptitud física para el ingreso de la carrera pedagogía de la actividad física y deporte

Abstract

This research aims to determine the importance of applying a physical fitness assessment test to students entering the Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy program. It identifies the level of physical fitness these students should possess and establishes the types of tests that could be applied. Additionally, a procedure for admission to the program is proposed. Data collection was carried out from a quantitative perspective, using a descriptive methodology to diagnose the university's reality based on the identified problem. The primary methods employed in this investigation include the analytical-synthetic approach, along with auxiliary methods such as comparative and bibliographic analysis. These methods significantly contributed to gathering information in line with the specific objectives, which encompassed aspects related to literature review, field research, and ultimately supporting the integrative proposal, as a contribution to the educational institution that facilitated access for conducting the research. Regarding the sample, first-semester students aged 17-22 from the Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy program were selected. The instruments used included physical fitness assessment tests and surveys of teachers. These methods provided a comprehensive understanding of the situation and the university's needs concerning the admission of students to this program.
