Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en la ciudad de Machala, provincia de El Oro, durante los meses de Agosto del 2014 a Noviembre del 2014. Los objetivos de esta investigación fueron determinar la presencia de Dipylidium caninum por el método de Graham en perros de la ciudad de Machala y el índice de prevalencia de Dipylidium caninum en relación de las variables: grupo etario, sexo y raza. El número de muestras fueron de 200 animales, la cantidad de muestras se dividió para tres parroquias de la ciudad de Machala como son: Área 1 que representa a la parte norte; El Cambio y la Providencia y el Área 2 que representa la parte sur; Puerto Bolívar. En esta investigación se determinó que la prevalencia de Dipylidium caninum en perros en la ciudad de Machala fue de 42 animales positivos de los 200 muestreados lo cual representa un 21%.
Description
The present investigation work was carried out in the City of Machala, provincial El Oro during the months of August of 2014 to November of 2014. The objectives of this investigation were to determine the presence of Dipylidium caninum for Graham's method in dogs of the city of Machala and to determine the index of prevalence of Dipylidium caninum in relationship of the variables: group of age, sex and race. The number of samples was of 200 animals, the quantity of samples was divided for three parishes of the city of Machala like they are: Area 1 that represents to the north part; The Change and the Providence and the Area 2 that it represents the south part; Puerto Bolívar. In this investigation it was determined that the prevalence of Dipylidium caninum in dogs in the city of Machala was of 42 positive animals of the 200 sampled that which represents 21%.
