Abstract
The following document details the structural calculation according to current regulations, of the superstructure of a pedestrian bridge located on Avenida 25 de Junio, near the La Piazza shopping center, in the city of Machala. For the respective calculation, several characteristics of the area were analyzed, which allowed decision-making in the sizing of the architectural design and at the same time, based on current regulations, a pre-sizing of the elements that make up the superstructure of the pedestrian bridge will be carried out, base It is essential to carry out the structural design applying the reinforced concrete design hypothesis, obtaining satisfactory results that provide full safety to pedestrians who need to cross the avenue. To complete the project, based on the analysis and calculation carried out, the structural, architectural and signaling plans were prepared, which are in accordance with the technical specifications contained in this document.

En el siguiente documento se detalla el cálculo estructural acorde a la normativa vigente, de la superestructura de un paso peatonal ubicado en la avenida 25 de Junio, a la altura del centro comercial La Piazza, en la ciudad de Machala. Para el cálculo respectivo se analizaron varias características de la zona, que permitieron la toma de decisiones en el dimensionamiento del diseño arquitectónico y a la vez con base a la normativa vigente permitió realizar un pre dimensionamiento de los elementos que conforman la superestructura del paso peatonal, base fundamental para realizar el diseño estructural aplicando la hipótesis de diseño del hormigón armado, obteniendo resultados satisfactorios que brindaran plena seguridad a los peatones que necesitan cruzar la avenida. Para culminar el proyecto en base al análisis y cálculo realizado se elaboraron los respectivos planos estructurales, arquitectónicos y de señalización, los cuales están de acuerdo con las especificaciones técnicas contenidas en este documento.
