Abstract
This research analyzes the stock market in Latin America to determine what has been its behavior in the period 2005 - 2019. From an existing theoretical basis, such as the positive relationship between economic growth and economic development of capital markets; Indicators such as size and liquidity were constructed in order to visualize the state and evolution of the stock market. That is, this research studies the current situation as the stock market is being carried out in Latin America; in view of the results it is proven that the markets of this region remain small and liquid, characterized as a replica with the large stock markets.

Esta investigación analiza el mercado bursátil en América Latina para determinar cuál ha sido su comportamiento en el periodo 2005 – 2019. A partir de una base teórica existente, como la relación positiva entre el crecimiento económico y el desarrollo económico de los mercados capitales; se construyeron indicadores como el tamaño y la liquidez con la finalidad de visualizar el estado y la evolución del mercado bursátil. Es decir, esta investigación estudia la situación actual como se está realizando el mercado bursátil en América Latina; en vista de los resultados se comprueba que los mercados de esta región siguen siendo pequeños y líquidos, caracterizándose como una réplica con los grandes mercados bursátiles.
