Abstract
This article analyzed the tourism system of the Saracay parish, El Oro province, Ecuador, which has biodiverse areas where alternative tourism activities could be carried out. For the respective study of tourist attractions, the methodological guide for ranking tourist attractions and spaces of the Ministry of Tourism was used, showing limitations and existing barriers in the study area, in addition, online surveys were implemented to know the level of positioning of the parish in the province of El Oro.

Se analizó el sistema turístico de la parroquia Saracay, provincia El Oro, Ecuador, la cual posee zonas biodiversas donde se podrían realizar actividades de turismo alternativo. Para el respectivo estudio de los atractivos turísticos se empleó la guía metodológica de jerarquización de atractivos y espacios turísticos del Ministerio de Turismo, evidenciándose limitaciones y barreras existentes en la zona de estudio, además se implementaron encuestas en línea para conocer el nivel de posicionamiento de la parroquia en la provincia de El Oro.
