Dificultades específicas de aprendizaje en estudiantes de educación general básica y su incidencia en la adquisición de aprendizajes

Abstract

Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) are neurobiological disorders that, according to international manuals such as DSM-5 and ICD-10, have been classified into three groups: specific language, writing and calculation difficulties, that encompass the dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysorthography and dyscalculia. The present paper, through a documentary-bibliographic review, collecting information from specialized books and scientific articles to determine the main specific learning difficulties in students of Basic General Education and their knowledge acquisition incidence from the Cognitive Development Theory of Jean Piaget. The findings found are the lack of training and teacher understand about the needs of children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), for which the main characteristics of each of them are described together with the most effective strategies to students achieve meaningful learning.
