dc.descriptionThis study was performed in the months of July and August 2014. The objective was to determine the frequency of anemia in adults over the city of Machala, 2014, 388 elderly outpatients were studied, all blood count were performed. Showing a prevalence of anemia of 19.85%. 52% have an age range between 75-90 years, 47% is the age range between 65 and 74 years and 1% of older adults aged> 90 years old presented anemia, 60% of seniors were women and 40% men.es_ES
dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio fue realizado en los meses de julio y agosto del 2014. Los objetivos fue determinar la frecuencia de anemia en los adultos mayores de la ciudad de Machala, 2014, se estudió a 388 adultos mayores ambulatorios, todos se realizaron biometría hemática. Demostrando una prevalencia de anemia de 19.85%. El 52% tiene un rango de edad entre 75 a 90 años, el 47% está el rango de edad entre 65 a 74 años y el 1% de adultos mayores con edad > a 90 años presento anemia, el 60% de adultos mayores fueron mujeres y el 40% varones.es_ES
