Valoración turística de los recursos patrimoniales de la parroquia rural Piedras, cantón Piñas.

Abstract

The purpose of this integration project is to strengthen the development of tourism in Piedras parish, through the design of a cultural tourism route, which takes into consideration the cultural (tangible and intangible) and natural heritage resources of this locality. Additionally, this proposal is intended to contribute to the promotion of the territory, motivate the interest and participation of the community in tourism activity and the heritage valuation. In this case, a methodological process was established which was structured in two phases. The first comprises a situational diagnosis of tourism activity in the study area, and the second phase involves the creation of the cultural tourism product. It is worth mentioning that all this was based on mixed methods research (qualitative and quantitative), and important techniques were used such as observation, document analysis, interviews and surveys.
