Estrategias y mecanismos de sustentabilidad para impulsar el desarrollo urbano del Cantón Santa Rosa

Abstract

The urban area of the Santa Rosa canton has been constantly developing, being more than half of the population in this area, but this development is not being planned, nor being part of the challenge for the search for sustainability, This is why in this qualitative research work, sustainable strategies and mechanisms are proposed for the urban development of the canton, that through research methodologies or literature review, such as consultations in scientific articles, journals, educational books, the Development and Territorial Planning Plan PDOT and other information of the canton, the observation, having a different perspective, since it is directly with the object of study and knowledge of the student, these tools were used both in the environmental, social and economic axis, through these methodologies used, many problems and consequences could be evidenced in the urban area of the canton, such as urban expansion, giving less green areas and an ecological imbalance, bad management of solid waste, giving bad image and at the same time alteration in the sewers that consequently give floods in the rainy season, high crime rate, marginal or solid areas, lack of street lighting; informal traders in excess in the central part of the canton, promoting the disorder and poor disposal of their solid waste; Among other problems.
