Incidencia de evento cerebrovascular isquemico en pacientes con lupus eritematoso sistemico

Abstract

Ischemic stroke occurs when a clot or thrombus occludes blood flow and is potentially fatal. On the other hand, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic immune disorder characterized by an inflammatory state and alterations in the circulatory system, hypercoagulation, which increases the probability of triggering an ischemic cerebrovascular event during the present investigation. We seek to identify the incidence of ischemic stroke in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus, through a systematic bibliographic review of a quantitative, descriptive-analytical type, from MeSH databases, obtained that patients with SLE have an incidence of 7.6% compared to the general population, in addition a recurrence factor was found so that a single individual can present several strokes throughout their life.
