Abstract

The objective of this research is the elaboration of a system of workshops focused on orienting the parents of the first-year high school students of the August 6th High School in the period 2020-2021. The methodology applied was qualitative in nature, applying theoretical methods such as the historical-logical, analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive methods, while the empirical methods used were the interview and the survey, which were conducted with 132 parents and 34 teachers belonging to the first year of high school of the High School August 6th. The interview for parents consisted of 14 questions and the interview of 11, while the surveys for teachers consisted of 20 questions. In order to support the research, an extensive bibliographic review of different authors was made regarding the proposed study, which is currently having great importance in the educational institutions of the country due to the concern of providing a quality education and that the family represents a positive factor in the development of the students. The results obtained through the applied methods necessary for the collection of information, such as the interview and the survey applied in this work, showed that the parents of the first year of high school of the High School August 6th present a deficiency in the interest towards the students and school matters, according to the statistics obtained, According to the statistics obtained, 38% of the parents provide schedules to maintain communication on daily school and personal activities with their children, however, 62% do not have adequate communication with their children on academic issues, therefore, it is necessary to implement a system of workshops in the institution to improve the relationship between those involved in the development of the student body.
