Diseño del sistema de abastecimiento de agua potable para el barrio Venecia, cantón Chaguarpamba, provincia de Loja

Abstract

Access to drinking water has always been a universal human right; however, there are many factors that have limited the availability of this service in many people's homes. The consumption of water without proper treatment brings with it the proliferation of gastrointestinal diseases, causing unhealthy conditions and a deterioration in the quality of life of people. In Ecuador there are communities that still do not have drinking water systems that allow the provision of good quality and properly treated water, especially in rural communities. Local governments play an important role in ensuring that citizens have access to drinking water, since they are responsible for the proper management of projects of this type, which are fundamental for the socio-economic development of a community. For this reason, the present study sought an alternative for the design of a drinking water supply system for the Venecia neighborhood, located in the Chaguarpamba canton in the province of Loja. To achieve this, a study of the place was carried out to know the characteristics of the study area and thanks to the information gathered, an efficient drinking water system was designed that will guarantee the provision of liquid to the citizens of the sector
