| dc.description | The present investigation has as purpose describe the strategies of confrontation used in patients diagnosed with HIV / AIDS according to his style of personality. The methods and techniques that were used for the next study was the qualitative and quantitative methodology taking as foundation the cognitive – behavorial approach, which is a holistic model that allows a more solid sustenance in this study, in addition, this allows a better understanding of the existing concatenation between personality styles and coping strategies in seropositive patients. The categories analyzed in this study were: personality styles and coping strategies. The selected cases were 6 seropositive patients of subsequent attention of the Type C Health Center Velasco Ibarra of the Machala city, which were taken without distinction of sex, age or sexual orientation. The research was carried out under the modality of mixed study (qualitative-quantitative). The design with which the work was done was narrative orientation, the method used was the biographical one because data collected by the patients were collected with the purpose of knowing their thoughts, ideas, emotions and feelings in front of the focus of the study. The techniques and instruments applied were. Deep interview in areas such as work and personal, family and social area, affective and sexual, Inventory of Personality Styles of Millon (DDMIPS) which measures different personality styles (introverted - withdrawn [asocial, passive and avoidant], inhibited - doubtful [avoidant, active - isolated], Cooperative [submissive, passive-dependent], sociable / extroverted [histrionic, active dependent], reliable / positive [narcissistic, passive- independent], strong and dissident [aggressive, active independent], controllers [aggressive, active discordant], respectful / conformist [passive conformist - ambivalent], sensitive / complaining [negativist, active - ambivalent], submissive [negativist, passive - discordant] ), Ways of Coping that measures three cognitive-behavioral and emotional coping strategies. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación tiene como finalidad describir las estrategias de afrontamiento utilizadas en pacientes diagnosticados con VIH-SIDA según su estilo de personalidad. Los métodos y técnicas que se emplearon para el siguiente estudio fuer la metodología cualitativo y cuantitativo tomando como fundamento el enfoque Cognitivo-Conductual, el cual es un modelo holístico que permite realizar un sustento más sólido en este estudio, además este permite una mejor comprensión de la concatenación existente entre los estilos de personalidad y las estrategias de afrontamiento en pacientes seropositivos; las categorías analizadas en este estudio fueron: estilos de personalidad y estrategias de afrontamiento. Los casos seleccionados fueron 6 pacientes seropositivos de atención subsecuente del Centro de Salud Tipo C Velasco Ibarra de la ciudad de Machala, los cuales fueron tomados sin distinción de sexo, edad ni orientación sexual. La investigación se llevó a cabo bajo la modalidad de estudio mixto cualitativo-cuantitativo. El diseño con el que se trabajó fue de orientación narrativa, el método empleado fue el biográfico debido a que se recopilo datos narrados por los pacientes con el propósito de conocer sus pensamientos, ideas, emociones y sentimientos frente al foco de estudio tratado. Las técnicas e instrumentos aplicados fueron. Entrevista profunda en áreas como laboral y personal, área familiar y social, afectiva y sexual, Inventario de Estilos de Personalidad de Millon MIPS que mide diferentes estilos de personalidad introvertido – retraído [asocial, pasivo y evitativo, inhibido – dudoso evitativo, activo – aislado, Cooperativo [sumiso, pasivo-dependiente, sociable extrovertido histriónico, dependiente activo, confiables positivos narcisista, pasivo-independiente, fuerte y disidente agresivo, activo independiente, controladores agresivos, activo discordante, respetuosos conformistas conformistas pasivos – ambivalentes, sensible quejumbroso negativista, activo – ambivalente, sumisos negativista, pasivo – discordante, Ways of Coping que mide 3 estrategias de afrontamiento cognitivas - conductuales y emocionales. | es_ES |
