Abstract
En la presente investigación se determinaron los patrones socioculturales que inciden en el femicidio y violencia de género contra la mujer, usando como técnica principal, el sondeo de opinión aplicada a los habitantes de El Guabo, cantón perteneciente a la provincia de El Oro. Además a través de la percepción de los habitantes analizamos el nivel de conocimiento e identificamos qué papel juegan los medios de comunicación relacionado al tema investigado. Para corroborar la información obtenida y aportar con datos precisos se aplicaron entrevistas a expertos que se relacionan diariamente con estas situaciones, como la psicóloga de la Fiscalía, una representante del movimiento de mujeres de El Oro y un periodista, quienes nos afirmaron los factores que influyen y el porqué de la revictimización cuando son mujeres violentadas. De acuerdo a los resultados se estableció una propuesta como posible solución para la problemática planteada.

In the present investigation the sociocultural patterns that affect femicide and gender violence against women were determined, using as a main technique, the opinion poll applied to the inhabitants of El Guabo, a canton belonging to the province of El Oro. Through the perception of the inhabitants we analyze the level of knowledge and identify what role the media play related to the subject investigated. To corroborate the information obtained and provide accurate data interviews were applied to experts who relate daily to these situations, such as the psychologist of the Office of the Prosecutor, a representative of the women's movement of El Oro and a journalist, who affirmed the factors that influence and the reason for the revictimization when they are women who have been violated. According to the results, a proposal was established as a possible solution to the problem posed.
