Abstract

In recent years, psychoeducation has been one of the preventive therapies most used by psychology specialists, it is for this reason that families where there are people with mental disorders have sought this type of support in order for the patient to feel support of his family, this being a very important step for his speedy recovery. In this research work, we seek to analyze the importance of family psychoeducation in children who are in the formal stage according to Piaget, taking as a premise that family psychoeducation is very significant. Thus, in this work a bibliographic review of relevant information of high impact journal articles is carried out that provide elements about the state of the art that support Piaget's theory and the contributions of his theory. Through this process it is possible to achieve the active participation of the intervened individual and his family environment to improve the quality of life and active participation in different contexts.
