Abstract

In order to analyze the importance of a GIS Management Information System, within the administrative processes of a company selling and maintaining air conditioners, a cross-sectional investigation with a qualitative approach was carried out, allowing selection as collection methods of data an in-depth interview guide conducted to the general manager of the organization in order to determine the relationship between the study variables, in addition the study relied on a focus group session, to know the procedures, results prior to the Software implementation in the company. Among the research findings, it is specified that the company had a low organizational performance, there was a lack of coordination between the department and a poor statistical management of the data. After the implementation of GIS, the company began to improve systemically, the different departments of the organization reflected a high level of commitment to achieve business objectives jointly, while internal operations improve considerably.
