Abstract
The cultivation of bivalve molluscs is one of the main products cultivated in aquaculture systems in the world, generating high economic income for the industry. The main species of bivalves farmed worldwide are: the Japanese oyster (C.gigas), the fan shell (A. purpuratus) and mussels (Mytilus).
Description
El cultivo de moluscos bivalvos es uno de los principales productos cultivados en los sistemas de acuicultura en el mundo, generando altos ingresos económicos a la industria. Las principales especies de bivalvos cultivadas a nivel mundial son: la ostra japonesa (C.gigas), la concha abanico ( A. purpuratus) y los mejillones (Mytilus).
