Abstract
Contaminación es impregnación del aire, el agua o el suelo con productos que afectan a la salud del hombre, la calidad de vida o el funcionamiento natural de los ecosistemas. La presencia de grandes cantidades de agua es lo que distingue a la tierra de los otros planetas conocidos y lo que hace aquí posible la vida. Los ríos son importantes por que proveen aguas y nutrientes para agricultura, el habita para diversa flota y fauna, así como rutas para el comercio, recreación y la electricidad. Los ríos han sido utilizados como sumideros para los desechos de la agricultura y de la industria.
Description
Contamination is impregnation of the air, the water or the floor with products that affect to the man´s health, the quality of life or the natural operation of the ecosystems. The presence of big quantities of water is what distinguishes to the earth of the other well-known planets and that makes here possible the life. The rivers are important for that provide water and nutrients for agriculture, inhabit for diverse flora and fauna, as well as routes for the trade, recreation and electricity. The rivers have been used as drains for the waste of the agriculture and of the industry.
