| dc.description | El autismo es una afección del neurodesarrollo que denota complicaciones constantes en las relaciones sociales, conductas estereotipadas, desfaces a nivel cognitivo y adaptativo. Dentro de este contexto, se ha evidenciado distintos casos de autismo convirtiéndose en uno de los trastornos más graves y frecuentes que afectan las habilidades cognitivas y el proceso de aprendizaje de los niños. El estudio de investigación plantea la siguiente problemática ¿Qué relación existe entre las habilidades cognitivas y el rendimiento académico en un niño con autismo? y como objetivo general analizar la relación que existe entre las habilidades cognitivas y el rendimiento académico en un niño con autismo, por consiguiente, como objetivos específicos se plantea describir las habilidades cognitivas en un niño con autismo y valorar el rendimiento académico en un niño con autismo. Nuestro estudio de caso se centra en un paradigma cualitativo, el cual nos permitió analizar, describir e interpretar las cualidades que presenta el estudiante. Para la presente investigación tomamos como objeto de estudio a un niño de 8 años con Autismo, donde los instrumentos aplicados fueron: guía de observación, entrevista, test de goodenough y cuestionario CUMANES, los cuales nos permitieron conocer las características del objeto de estudio. En cuanto a los resultados, se comprobó que el niño presenta afectaciones en las habilidades cognitivas lo cual está limitando las capacidades de atención, concentración, percepción, lenguaje y memoria generando por tales afectaciones un bajo rendimiento académico, donde corroboró la importancia y relación que existe entre las habilidades cognitivas y el rendimiento académico. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition that denotes constant complications in social relationships, stereotyped behaviors, cognitive and adaptative deficits. Withing this context, different cases of autism have been evidenced, becoming one of the most serious and frequent disorders that affect cognitive skills and the learning process of children, the research study poses the following problem: What is the relationship between cognitive skills and academic performance in a child with autism? The general objective is to analyze the relationship between cognitive skills and academic performance in a child whit autism; consequently, the specific objectives are to describe the cognitive skills in a child with autism and to assess the academic performance of a child whit autism. Our case study focuses on a qualitative paradigm, which allowed us to analyze, describe and interpret the qualities presented by the student. For the present investigation we took as the object of study an 8-year-old boy with autism where the instruments applied were; observation guide, interview. Goodenough test and CUMANES questionnaire, which allowed us to know the characteristics of the object of study. As for results, it was verified that the child present affectations in cognitive abilities which is limiting the capacities of attention, concentration, perception, language and memory generating by such affectations a low academic performance, where I corroborate the importance and relation, that exists the cognitive abilities and the academic performance. | es_ES |
