dc.description	The objective of this research is to conduct a literature review of different medical and other relevant references that allow us to demonstrate the use of octreotide in acute pancreatitis. An article called the guidelines of the American College of Gastroenterology in 2013 demonstrates to us that the pancreatitis is inflammation of the pancreatic tissue and subsequent release of pancreatic enzymes. The consensus in the 2012 classification of acute pancreatitis agreed that there is no specific treatment has been shown unequivocally to change their clinical course, but there are treatments support. It is very important to early aggressive fluid, the fluid trapped in the third space, the use of octreotide was concluded that this does not play a role in pancreatitis because the hospital stay and although it has been decreasing mortality is not statistically proven. multicenter studies and multivariate more is needed to make use of this drug in acute pancreatitis.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	El objetivo de esta investigación es realizar una revisión bibliográfica de diferentes artículos médicos y de otras referencias de relevancia que nos permitan evidenciar el uso del octreotide en la pancreatitis aguda. Un artículo llamado las guías del colegio americano de gastroenterología en el 2013 nos evidencia que la pancreatitis es la inflamación del tejido pancreático como consecuente de liberación de las enzimas pancreáticas. Según el consenso en el 2012 de la clasificación de pancreatitis aguda acordó que no existe un tratamiento específico que haya demostrado inequívocamente cambiar su curso clínico, sino que existen tratamientos de soporte. Es muy importante realizar la fluidoterapia agresiva precoz, por el atrapamiento de líquido en el tercer espacio, en cuanto al uso del octreotide se concluyó que este no juega un papel importante en la pancreatitis porque la estancia hospitalaria es la misma y aunque se ha visto disminuir la mortalidad no es comprobado estadísticamente. Se necesita más estudios multicentricos y multivariados para poder hacer uso de este medicamento en la pancreatitis aguda.	es_ES
