Habilidades lingüísticas e inteligencia emocional en un niño con problemas de lectoescritura

Abstract

Linguistic skills are essential to achieve a correct development in the social, labor and educational spheres, so these abilities must be mastered for efficient communication and functioning, the same that serve to produce language fluently and effectively. Therefore, timely stimulation and intervention is required during the early stages of human life. In another aspect, emotional intelligence is a crucial component in people's lives, since it allows them to understand their own and others' emotions; it should be emphasized that this type of intelligence is essential to acquire because it helps students not only to know theoretical contents, but also to control and regulate their emotional state, which will allow them to adapt to any circumstance that may arise. In this research, the following question is posed as a study problem: What is the relationship between language skills and emotional intelligence in a child with reading and writing problems? From which the following is described as the general objective: To analyze the relationship between linguistic skills and emotional intelligence in a child with reading and writing problems; the paradigm used for the study method is qualitative. As the object of study, the case of a 10-year-old child with literacy problems has been chosen, to whom some relevant instruments were applied such as the interview, Prolec-r test and the BarOn ICE emotional intelligence inventory.
