Estudio técnico de señalización vial y movilidad urbana en la parroquia Buenavista

Abstract

This research work focuses on the evaluation of the condition of road signs in the parish of Buenavista, located in Ecuador, with the objective of identifying the deficiencies that affect road safety and urban mobility. Based on the analysis with the Signage Evaluation Index (SEI) method, it was determined that there are acceptable signs and critical points where improvements are required. Therefore, a multi-strategy approach is proposed, such as signage control and maintenance. The results obtained highlight the need to urgently maintain the signage, especially the horizontal signs, since the index is "REGULAR," thus ensuring safer and more efficient traffic in the parish.
