Análisis del impacto del turismo en el medio ambiente: caso playa Bajo Alto, El Guabo, Ecuador.

Abstract

The investigation about the Impact of Tourism on the Environment at the Playa Bajo Alto site, El Guabo city; has the purpose of identify the intrinsic relationship of tourism and its environmental impact from an evaluation of explicit factors in the Leopold Matrix: Physical and Chemical Characteristics, Services and Infrastructure. Determining that the study area thanks to its tourist flow has caused an environmental impact mainly in areas of: beach, mangrove, estuary and the sea. The presence of inorganic material and destruction of vegetation due to the expansion of urban, commercial and shrimp areas that affect the ecosystem. As a result, the problems currently presented by the tourist attraction were defined, and thus, proceed to provide solutions based on protection and conservation of natural resources. Therefore, it is established as a recommendation plans, training and implementation of regulations focused on preventing, controlling and mitigating the factors causing environmental degradation.
