Abstract

This case study is based on the need of Canton Arenillas, located in the Province of El Oro, to manage, in a technical and adequate way, solid urban waste, under environmental regulations and ideals, making use of civil engineering as the axis of development for the Once it happens, it investigates the best solution to the problem of transport and waste disposal. The subject is approached from an exploratory perspective, investigating cognitive knowledge through scientific methods, which, being concatenated with practical data and experience in the field of solid waste treatment, proposes an efficient alternative in the management processes of waste, to make known to the competent dignities about its possible application and implications in relation to cost / benefit. The objective of the project is to analyze the alternatives to improve the management of R.S.U in Arenillas, through a critical, technical, practical and complete judgment; deducting the solution in a holistic way, in addition to raising awareness among the population to be part of the waste treatment process from their homes making the most of municipal resources.
