Abstract
La presente investigación se la realizo en el Camal Municipal del Cantón Atahualpa entre los meses de Septiembre, Octubre, y Noviembre del 2006, inspeccionándose un total de 513 bovinos de los cuales 219 resultaron positivos, y 294 resultaron negativos, dando una prevalencia de 42,7 %. La mayor prevalencia por edad se registra en los animales mayores a 6 años (48,5 %), seguida por los animales comprendidos entre los 2 a 6 años (46,4 %) y finalmente los animales menores a 2 años de edad (30 %). La raza aparentemente más susceptible a la enfermedad es la Holstein, seguida de la Mestiza, Pardo suizo, Brahman, y finalmente la Jersey. El 46,9 % de los animales sacrificados fueron Hembras (241), y el 53,02 % machos. Las parroquias de mayor prevalencia fueron Paccha, Daucay, Ayapamba, El Palto, y el sitio Biron.
Description
The present investigation was carried out it in the Municipal Camal of the Cantón Atahualpa between the months of September, October, and November of the 2006 being inspected a bovine total of 513 of which 219 were positive and 294 negatives giving a prevalencia of 42,7 %. The biggest prevalencia for age registers in the animals adults to 6 years (48, 5 %); continued animals understood among the 2 a 6 years (46, 4 %); and finally the smallest animals to 2 years of age (30 %). The seemingly more susceptible race to the illness is the Holstein, followed by the Mestizo, Brown Swiss, Brahman and finally the Jersey. 46,9 % of the sacrificed animals was female (241), and 53,02 % males. Parish of more prevalencia Paccha, Daucay, Ayapamba, El Palto, y el place Biron.
