| dc.description | In the marginal dock of port authority belonging to Machala canton in the province of El Oro, larger vessels berth for which it was designed it has been estimated that currently fall vessels of up to 45,000 DWT, which produces a greater impact is therefore necessary to know the current status of the defense system of spring and thus determine if reluctant or should be changed to meet the new demands. This research aims to evaluate the defense system of the marginal dock and propose alternatives for improvement. The evaluation of the defense system of marginal dock, considered a diagnosis of their current state. This research contains a compilation of information obtained from academic sites to give scientific support, expand the definitions of defenses, its types and the importance of having a system of adequate defense in a spring, already adequate defense system will dissipate the energy of impact at the time of berthing and minimize damage in the spring. On the basis of the inspection and the information gained from the study carried out by the consultancy firm Consuasoris it was determined that the defense system of the marginal dock is inefficient and must be replaced by a system with sufficient capacity to withstand the berthing of larger vessels, a defense system adapted to the conditions of current berthing spring. | dc.description.abstract | En el muelle marginal de autoridad portuaria perteneciente a Machala cantón de la provincia de EL ORO, atracan buques mayores para el cual fue diseñado se ha estimado que actualmente entran buques de hasta 45.000 TPM, lo cual produce un mayor impacto es por ello necesario conocer el estado actual del sistema de defensa del muelle y así determinar si resisten o deben cambiarse para satisfacer las nuevas demandas. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo evaluar el sistema de defensa del muelle marginal y proponer alternativas de mejoras. La evaluación del sistema de defensa del muelle marginal, considera un diagnóstico de su estado actual. La presente investigación contiene una recopilación de información obtenida de sitios académicos que dan soporte científico, se amplían las definiciones de defensas, sus tipos y la importancia de tener un sistema de defensa adecuado en un muelle, ya sistema de defensa adecuado disipará la energía de impacto al momento del atraque y minimizará daños en el muelle. En base a la inspección realizada y a la información obtenida del estudio realizado por la consultora Consuasoris se determinó que el sistema de defensa del muelle marginal es ineficiente y que debe ser reemplazado por un sistema con capacidad suficiente para soportar el atraque de buques más grandes, un sistema de defensa adaptado a las condiciones de atraque actuales del muelle. La demanda a corto plazo que es la de permitir el atraque de buques de 45.000 TPM a 60.000 TPM requiere un sistema de defensa de forma geométrica óptima y con excelente relación energía/reacción. | es_ES |
