Factores de eficiencia reproductiva bovina en una granja lechera de la provincia de El Oro.

Abstract

The present case study is a collection of reproductive data in the dairy cattle farm "Santa Rita" located in Santa Rosa County, El Oro province, Conchales site; the farm is located in a tropical climate zone, whose economic activity is dedicated to the production and commercialization of milk.The objective of this work was to develop an analysis of the farm through the application of formulas of the parameters of reproductive efficiency and to compare them with the established standards, for it existing data in the cattle production were taken, focusing mainly on those that infer reproductively in the animals, for it was counted on the aid of the owner Dr. Francisco Mena, who by means of a guided tour by the facilities allowed to observe and to verify the respective handling, as well as the races with which it was counted, besides to obtain the statistics that at the moment it presents. With the information gathered, the formulas were applied and with it, a respective evaluation criterion was issued, parameter by parameter, whose results allowed to determine the current reproductive state of the animals and to conclude if the management is efficient and positive.
