Estrategias para la valoración de los bienes patrimoniales en la sociedad

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine strategies for the valuation of assets in society. Essentially it proposes strategies to encourage the valuation of heritage to the members of a territory; either, to society in general, or to the different governmental, non-governmental organizations, institutions that are part of the educational, heritage, cultural and tourism development of the city of Machala. The development of the methodology has a qualitative approach, applying the descriptive method, to facilitate the description of the information collected, through primary sources and interviews conducted to known people who are directly and indirectly part of the heritage development. The research makes visible basic concepts that citizens should handle with respect to assets. Through the results obtained and the analysis of the instruments used, it can be synthesized that the devaluation of heritage assets is a consequence of the lack of knowledge about the wealth of assets that a population must dominate. Therefore, there can be no empowerment and valuation of something that is ignored, and not promoted.
