Respuesta del cultivo de zanahoria a la fertilización orgánica y nitrogenada en la granja Santa Inés

Abstract

Throughout history, the response of different crops to the application of fertilizers has played a decisive role in their growth and production; however, it is difficult to accurately estimate the contribution that fertilizers have on agricultural production. Therefore, the objective of this study is to evaluate the response of the carrot crop to the application of organic and nitrogen fertilizers at the Santa Inés farm, located in the province of El Oro, in order to determine the agromorphological characteristics and production of the crop. The treatments used were: T0 = Control, T1 = 5 t/ha-1 organic fertilizer, T2 = 10 t/ha-1 organic fertilizer, T3 = 50 kg of N/ha-1, T4 = 100 kg of N/ha-1, in which 25 experimental units were configured in a column and row arrangement, in a total area of 174 m2. A total of 50 plants per treatment were used for data collection, which was carried out 30, 60 and 90 days after transplanting. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to determine whether or not there were significant differences between each treatment. The best treatment was that of 100 kg/ha-1 of N, showing a superior performance with respect to the others evaluated in relation to morphological characteristics (height of plant, number of leaves, root or fruit diameter) and agricultural yield.
