Diseño de un programa psicoeducativo de nivelación de conocimientos matemáticos previos aplicando la etnomatemática

Abstract

The reality in which many teachers who teach mathematics in secondary live is that they find students who present errors in their previous mathematical knowledge, some even present a certain apathy or fear for the subject. For this reason, the present work wishes to address this problem by applying ethnomathematics, for which the main objective was to design a knowledge leveling program, based on ethnomathematical activities, which allows correcting errors in mathematical knowledge in tenth grade students. of EGB belonging to the Ayapamba Educational Unit. For this, a mixed methodological approach and a type of applied research were used, using observation, survey, interview and test as data collection techniques. In the first one, the disposition that students have to learn was observed, since attitudes, interests and self-esteem are considered as important aspects before starting a teaching process. With the second, the expectations and experiences that students have with mathematics were known, and with the test, the main errors of the students in their mathematical knowledge were diagnosed. The results made it possible to show that the students have many errors in their previous knowledge, as well as other problems such as lack of self-esteem and disinterest in the subject. All these problematic situations are desired to be addressed with ethnomathematics, because it contributes to obtaining significant learning that brings to the subject with the reality in which the students live.
