Abstract

Introduction: There are multiple factors that cause chronic kidney disease, however, the most prevalent are arterial hypertension and type II diabetes mellitus, causing greater unwanted effects on health, in this paper emphasis was placed on the clinical case. of a patient diagnosed with grade 3b chronic kidney disease and pre-existing hypertension and type II diabetes mellitus. Objective: To establish a possible treatment in grade 3b chronic kidney disease, arterial hypertension and type II diabetes mellitus based on the clinical condition of the patient. Methodology: It was based on the analytical method, through the bibliographic review of guides and scientific articles that allow solving the problem raised. Results: According to the treatment guidelines, it is suggested to treat chronic kidney disease with angiotensin II receptor antagonists (ARA II) such as losartan, an appropriate drug also for arterial hypertension due to its benefits, in terms of type II diabetes mellitus. a dose adjustment of metformin was suggested and combined with dapagliflozin, which is part of the group of inhibitors of the sodium-glucose cotransporter type II (iSGLT2), both are used to obtain greater efficacy in said pathology, in addition certain non-pharmacological regimens were recommended that are necessary for effective treatment. Conclusion: The drugs suggested for the patient, such as losartan, metformin, and dapagliflozin, not only have benefits in hypertension and type II diabetes mellitus, respectively, but also help prevent the progression of chronic kidney disease.
