Intervención del trabajador social frente al trabajo infantil

Abstract

Within Ecuador, child labor has become more relevant, given that currently children between the ages of five and seventeen have been identified as working in the streets to earn a living and support their families. In this case, the Constitution of Ecuador is the main regulation to take action on the matter and implement proposals to eradicate this problem. In turn, this titling work has an initiative in the Arenillas Canton, through a project dominated by ETI, which will include the participation of 80 children and adolescents. In addition, this project has agreements with the MIES and Municipal GAD that will participate in its implementation. To achieve this, an experimental methodology will be used, based on hypotheses that will verify the development of this project and its incidence with the selected public. On the other hand, the diagnosis has a fundamental role, where it allows us to measure our development as social workers, for this we worked in the planning, execution and evaluation stage. Regarding the theoretical framework, it should be noted that the role as professionals is to educate, guide, plan and coordinate activities that are aimed at the field of study, Therefore, the following activities have been carried out, meeting with the authorities, talks and calls with parents. Thanks to these activities, it was possible to conclude that I help with the implementation of the ETI project where child labor was prioritized and the most appropriate measures were sought to reduce it and have a good life according to their age.
