Abstract

The objective of this work prior to obtaining the title is to analyze the stone materials that we can find in the quarries in the lower part of the province of El Oro and to compare them with a quarry in the Province of Guayas, taking into consideration that the Materials for its analysis are the coarse aggregates corresponding to rolled and crushed stones, which are constantly used for the preparation of concrete. Concerningly, samples were taken from the different quarries that were previously selected and, under an appropriate process, laboratory tests were applied, such as wear control based on the NTE INEN 860 standard, with the aim of achieving characteristics of the materials and manage an adequate quality control of the materials that are available in the province. A comparison is made between them when obtaining the results of each quarry to be able to give evidence of the quality of the materials that are constantly found in the construction market, for this it is required that based on the standards of the ASTM - C131 and NTE INEN – 872 comply with the specifications and minimum requirements that they pose.
