Abstract

In this research was being analysed the relationship between the implementation of a system of exercises and the development of listening skills, supported by different components with the aim to design a system of exercises using the interactive web page Mansión Inglés to the development of listening ability of English as a foreign language in in 8th-grade students of the General Basic Education parallel A of the “Juan Montalvo'' High School, through research methods such as, scientific observation, the experimental method, pedagogical tests, and descriptive statistics. The research has an experimental design of a quantitative explanatory type with a positivist epistemological approach, with a research population of 31 high school students who are between 11 and 12 years old. It states that the use of a system of exercises using the interactive web page Mansión Inglés contributes significantly to the development of listening ability of English as a foreign language. It is worth mentioning that many assessments were applied which let the researchers analyse the entry level of listening in students, and after the implementation of the system of exercises using the interactive web page Mansión Inglés this variable was being evaluated again, thus, it was possible verify that there are positive increases in the level of listening ability in students.
