Abstract

In summary, learning is continuous process where skills, knowledge, values and principles are acquired, through the experiences lived over time, the teaching of teachers, even through what we observe day by day, that is why, that the human being never stops learning from the time he is in his mother`s womb until the day he dies. Therefore, the present integrative project is based on the significant learning of Natural Sciences within the care of the environment in the fifth grade students of the “14 de Julio” Basic Education school, with significant learning being a theory directed by the pedagogue, American David Ausubel, he himself mentions so that there can be significant learning the boy, girl must combine new knowledge with previous knowledge creating a significant cognitive structure to put it into practice. Therefore, it is necessary for Basic Education teachers to know about this researched topic because it allows obtaining current information on how educational processes are being developed in educational institutions, since it has been shown that there are still teachers with mentality and traditionalist teaching within the teaching-learning process. It`s objective is to implement active methodological strategies in the teaching of Natural Sciences, promoting meaningful learning and raising awareness of caring for the environment. In addition, as a problem, how does the meaningful learning of Natural Sciences affect the care of the environment of the fifth grade od the Basic Education school “July 14”, 2021-2022? That to carry out the research, surveys were carried out on the students, an interview with the teacher of the institution and an observation guide to the class that was taught by the teacher knows about the subject, but does not put it into practice constantly, so he uses strategies or ways of teaching in a traditional way. However, the strategies are fundamental part during this process because it is the one who helps the teacher to draw the attention of the students, allowing motivation and interest in knowing new things, awakening their mind to think, reflect, imagine, create, etc., developing skills, abilities to perform a task set by the teacher.

Because meaningful learning is a theory that is aimed at constructivism, since the student is the one who builds his own knowledge through the experiences he has throughout his life, giving, as a result, a very solid and significant cognitive structure. Well, as a proposed to improve the problem, a didactic guide was proposed that allows the teacher to have support for their classes, allowing significant learning to exist in the students, the same that consist of activities, strategies and ways in which the teacher can evaluate according to the needs of each student, in addition, it must be taken into account that the student must be motivated so that he can learn and obtain good results during this learning process.
