Estereotipos de género y relaciones adolescentes de los estudiantes de segundo bachillerato del colegio Dr. Juan Henríquez Coello Machala -2022

Abstract

Gender stereotypes are a normalized problem at a national and international level, and education about them is scarce in educational institutions. This makes it impossible to identify and prevent them in terms of affective relationships. This research work aims to promote the importance of recognizing gender stereotypes in order to foster a culture free of these stereotyped behaviors in adolescents through the dissemination of information. The theoretical framework of this work is based on a bibliographic compilation of different authors on gender stereotypes, their formation and internalization in the life of adolescents, how they affect their affective relationships and how they are manifested through gender roles. The theoretical foundation is also based on the current legal norms of Ecuador, the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador and the Code of Childhood and Adolescence. In the research methodology, a mixed approach based on the parallel model was used, where the qualitative and quantitative methods were used simultaneously to arrive at the corresponding diagnosis. The techniques used are the survey and the interview, with the purpose of investigating the incidence of the problem within the adolescent relationships of the students of the second year of general unified high school of the Dr. Juan Henriquez Coello School. The figure of the Social Worker and his role as promoter of the bases of intervention by means of techniques that allow the construction of a situational diagnosis is emphasized; in the same that will visualize the main needs about the problematic, to design the strategies to use within the process of intervention and obtaining results.
