Abstract

This project is based on the analysis and diagnosis of the current situation regarding the management of the integral management of urban solid waste generated within the internal facilities of the municipal market. San Antonio, of the canton of Pasaje, El Oro. The main purpose of This analysis is to identify present deficiencies and develop a strategic plan with viable alternatives for the classification, recovery and subsequent commercialization of MSW that are usable to minimize the environmental impact that it generates. Through research methods, such as surveys, the same ones that were applied to vendors and residents, it is possible to measure the quality of service in cleanliness issues, and the integral management of the RSU, by the authorities. in charge. A fundamental part of the data collection for the analysis was carried out through interviews with authorities and field visits to the facilities of the municipal market of Pasaje, which has allowed verifying the existence of garbage dumps, the state of hygiene, the infrastructure, and the operational management of the sanitary landfill, which allows through dictating these observations to propose alternatives as solutions. This project develops a strategic plan in order to classify, recover, process and market the result as compost using usable urban organic waste generated inside the San Antonio de Pasaje market.
