El sector turismo en tiempos de covid-19, análisis socieconómico: caso Ecuador.

Abstract

The present study collects information on the tourism sector in times of COVID-19, an analysis of the case of Ecuador is carried out to examine the economic and social consequences that have directly affected the aforementioned activity, as well as the measures that have been raised by the Ecuadorian government to mitigate the crisis and if they have been viable for its reactivation. The established methodology is descriptive with a quantitative-deductive approach, with a type of case study research and applied bibliographic-documentary technique, which allows us to explain tourism activity in times of pandemic from general to specific aspects. With the results obtained from this study, we want to demonstrate the importance of promoting tourism, also that health plays an essential role for a safe destination for visitors, and above all we want to show the value of natural diversity and cultural wealth. that Ecuador owns to the world. It is concluded that this new normal can be the door to conceive and make a new tourism, which seeks sustainable, responsible and inclusive development, which constitutes a primary factor and mechanism for the national development of Ecuador and its inhabitants.
