Progreso tecnológico y economía: caso de estudio Costa Rica.

Abstract

This case analysis focuses on the technological progress and economy of Costa Rica, this small Central American country has successfully adhered to the technological field, to the point of being awarded as the country with a far-reaching innovative potential. It is also important to note that Costa Rica has increased its international competitiveness through political stability and good management of the country by the government through the implementation of reforms that have allowed a stabilization in public finances. The investigation, is structured by four chapters, ranging from an introduction including the justification of the development of the study, as well as its theoretical framework and finally the conclusions. The main objective of the study is to analyze the mechanisms of competitiveness by means of a bibliographic review to identify the determinants that influenced the increase of the competitiveness index of Costa Rica. The methodology to be used in this case analysis is a qualitative research that allows the capture of relevant information from the exploration of bibliographic contexts and theoretical reviews that support the reality of technological and economic progress in Costa Rica, Costa Rica is undoubtedly a territory that smells of work, effort and competitiveness, the most optimal mechanism the country has used was to exploit its potential in human resources through tools such as the knowledge economy.
