Análisis comparativo entre Puerto Bolívar y Puerto Contecon en sus aspectos logísticos y aduaneros en el año 2021.

Abstract

Over the years, the port has become an important logistics hub. Nowadays maritime transport is considered as the main activity for the exchange of goods between different countries, Therefore, in general, a port generates opportunities for the development of the local economy, generates various benefits such as transport, and through the use of containers, goods can be distributed to different regions. The objective of this paper is to compare the logistical and customs aspects of the ports of Ecuador: Puerto Bolívar and Puerto Contecon in 2021. For this, it was developed under a quantitative approach, with a type of descriptive research, in addition to applying the historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, hypothetical-deductive methods. For data collection, surveys and interviews were applied to technicians from both ports and foreign trade operators with the intention of knowing the evolution in terms of technologies, infrastructure and operating systems of both Puerto Bolívar and Puerto Contecon. Among the results are mentioned the lack of infrastructure on the part of Puerto Bolívar, the difference in terms of container mobility, little diversity on the part of the province of El Oro that helps to revitalize the port. As for Contecon port, the ease of costs stands out, the port has specialized technicians, has state-of-the-art technology, among other aspects. In conclusion, to achieve port competitiveness, the port must be modernized according to current needs, as well as diversify and position technology in all administrative and operational activities of the port.
