Ampliación de la red de distribución de agua potable en el barrio Chantilín Chico, cantón Saquisilí, provincia de Cotopaxi

Abstract

The present work contains a viable solution to the lack of drinking water in the peripheral neighborhoods of the Saquisili canton, where the citizens have suffered from the lack of supply of this service that has not allowed an adequate socio-economic development in this locality, therefore, the "Extension of Drinking Water Networks in the Chantilin Chico Neighborhood, Saquisili Canton, Cotopaxi Province" was proposed and therefore the study and design of the project was carried out with the purpose that the local government can cope in the provision of this basic service. Therefore, it has been governed to the corresponding process that must be fulfilled the study of a project, which consists in the calculations of the future population that was made by the saturation method, that is, it has been multiplied the average number of people per household determined by the INEC by the number of lots that has been defined according to the land use planning of the Planning Department of the Municipality of Saquisili. In addition, calculations were made for maximum daily flow, maximum hourly flow, design flow, demands in each mesh and others that led to the final design, taking into account the recommendations of the case and the criteria established in the regulations assigned by SENAGUA. The proposal for the design of drinking water networks for the Chantilín Chico neighborhood will benefit many families, since they can use this study to request the execution of the project to the local government, which is in charge of public works.
