Aterosclerosis coronaria: factores de riesgo y marcadores bioquímicos

Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) encompass a set of pathologies of the circulatory system these conditions can cause damage to organs such as the heart and brain. WHO statistics regarding CVD show that they are the leading causes of death in the world. From 2011 to 2015 about 17.5 to 17.7 million deaths are attributed to these CVDs, 7.4 million belong to heart disease ischemic including atherosclerosis and 6.7 million to strokes. There are factors related to the increased risk of atherosclerosis, which can be classified as modifiable and non-modifiable. The objective of this study was to establish the risk factors associated with the development of coronary atherosclerosis and its main biochemical markers, by searching high-impact scientific articles, for the resolution of the proposed case study. The methodology used was based on a descriptive study focused on the investigation of reliable information. In conclusion, according to the search carried out we found that among the modifiable risk factors in this patient, the following stand out: smoking, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, obesity, unhealthy lifestyles, and non-modifiable lifestyles : family history since it has a family history of CVD and sex, on the other hand biomarkers help us to prevent and diagnose cardiovascular diseases, cardiac enzymes include troponins and lipoproteins in the lipid profile: LDL, HDL, Lp (a) and triglycerides.
