Psicoterapia en adolescentes en conflicto con la ley penal y su adicción a estupefacientes

Abstract

Drug use is now established as a significant social phenomenon that mainly affects adolescents who are chronologically at the age of 12 to 18. Today we know that the use, abuse and dependence of narcotic drugs has become one of the most important problems worldwide. This essay responds to a bibliographic review of scientific articles whose purpose is to be framed in the analysis of the applicability of psychotherapy in adolescents in conflict with criminal law and their addiction to narcotics. In carrying out this work it was transcendental to investigate the relationship between drug consumption and adolescent offenders where the results show that there is a large number of juvenile offenders who, in turn, have problems with narcotics. The approach to this issue, from the psychological point of view, must take into account the multifactoriality of the problem, the family, social and cultural causes that lead the child to commit crimes and consume narcotics. Among the most effective and safe techniques of psychological intervention is psychotherapy, the main objective of this technique is the change of thoughts, behaviors and feelings, allowing the adolescent to strengthen their interpersonal relationships and work on their self-efficacy.
