Determinantes del crecimiento económico de Chile, Perú Y Ecuador durante el periodo 1990 al 2020.

Abstract

The present article identifies the determinants that significantly affect the economic growth of a country. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is one of the most important macroeconomic indicators that determines the level of a nation's wealth, therefore the purpose of this research is to analyze the variables that influence the increase in the quantity of goods and services of Chile, Peru and Ecuador during the period from 1990 to 2020. As a purpose, time series data are used, a descriptive statistics methodology, an econometric model is applied in a functional logarithmic way. The choice of variables is based on the review of the literature of scientific articles, the information in the databases was obtained from financial organizations. The results reflect that in Ecuador the exports, imports, the labor force and investment significantly influence economic growth, while in Peru the variables of labor force and investment have a favorable impact on GDP and in Chile exports and investment contribute significantly in the gross domestic product. It is concluded that the variables that significantly affect economic growth for each country are different, with investment being the only one in common.
