Abstract

The lack of protection of the elderly is generally caused by the lack of attention and affection of the people who are part of the family nucleus to which they belong, considering main factors that influence their affective, emotional and physical life due to the economic situation and constant stress in which they live because they do not have adequate medical care for the different ailments they suffer. The general objective of the research process is focused on determining the degree of lack of protection in the field of health of the elderly in La Victoria of the canton Santa Rosa parish through physical and psychological assessment that allows the use of protection, assessment and integration mechanisms. in your social and family life; Likewise, methodologically, applied research is of a non-experimental type with a mixed approach and with a descriptive-explanatory scope, which are aimed at solving the problem under study. Among the main results, relevant information is obtained that leads to the analysis of the real situation experienced by the elderly in the La Victoria parish of the Santa Rosa canton, However, during the intervention process by the professionals in Social Work, a notorious rapprochement between the AM and their direct family members is evidenced, in which the government institutions have directly carried out a constant work that allows improving their quality in this way. of life and health in the face of the multiple needs that they present.
