El dibujo artístico expresando los aspectos negativos de la prostitución y su actividad en la sociedad actual

Abstract

This research work to deal with social problem about prostitution of women, representing the concept through realistic drawing by graphic representations where they show the negative effects that are generated in the female image, sexualizing her body turning them into an object of desire and pleasure, placing them in a state of vulnerability in society where aspects such as mistreatment, violence and abuse are very common in this profession and which has generated many victims around the world. Prostitution has been practiced in any culture, whether ancient or modern, being classified as “the oldest profession in the world”. It is the practice of having relationships in exchange for some kind of benefit that is mostly economic, it is mainly focused on money, that is, there is no emotional bond or affective relationship between the client and the prostitute, there is only the mutual interest of sexual pleasure with economic value. It is evident that women throughout history have not had an easy path for the domination of a macho community in past centuries. In ancient times, women did not have the same rights as men, should be at their service and at their disposal at all times, preventing them from carrying out activities other than domestic service. Despite this, prostitution has been present in every era of history, undergoing several changes from its inception to the present, allowing man to be promiscuous, leaving aside moral principles and the meaning of a stable couple relationship as the nucleus of society. In recent decades, worldwide campaigns have been carried out for the benefit of women's rights, trying to break machismo in society; Thanks to the participation of several movements represented by women, important changes have been achieved such as women's access to education, the right to vote, participation in politics, in sports, among others, allowing them to place themselves at the same level as men. Despite this, prostitution has not been affected since it is currently the profession that has generated the most money around the world and is the main reason why human trafficking continues to occur in countries, especially in the most vulnerable, that is why this issue is taken as a social problem, since thousands of women are victims of sexual exploitation, causing a great impact on their identity, both physical and emotional, affecting their health, taking them to a critical state where at worst of the cases have resorted to suicide. Another aspect addresses by this study is the realism in Ecuador, reflecting in the works the abuses and injustices that exist in Ecuadorian homes, an aspect for which the realistic drawing was taken into consideration for the artistic proposal, being a key piece for the representation of prostitution and art.
