Abstract

The risk reduction agenda was carried out in the Portovelo canton, based on existing natural threats such as landslides and floods, the purpose of this agenda is to create measures to reduce the vulnerabilities of this canton, in addition to integrating different activities where they are interact with the people such as open houses, debates, campaigns, among others. The methodology used in this work is the one developed by the SNGRE, it allows us to carry out a diagnosis to verify if there are institutional vulnerabilities in the Portovelo canton, as well as if there are the essential resources to assist the population at the time of There is a disaster, it also tells us the population that is vulnerable to dangerous events and if they have essential basic services for everyone. Once all the vulnerabilities of the canton have been identified, the problems that currently affect the canton are identified and the necessary measures are carried out so that a disaster risk does not have a greater magnitude of impact or in turn does not cause any type of damage.
