Organización comunitaria en el desarrollo local del barrio Paquisha, parroquia Loma de Franco, cantón Pasaje, año 2021

Abstract

The community organization intervenes in a group that collaborates together to solve problems that affect a community, seeking alternative solutions. The organization in a sector contributes to local development, seeking to enhance capacities and resources for the benefit of its inhabitants, to achieve this requires collective and individual participation for the common good. Research on the organization and community participation to promote local development was important because it was evidenced the existence of a low level of participation and a weakened organization in certain activities, such as socio-organizational well-being and the precarious conditions of the neighborhood, triggered a series of nonconformities that have delayed the progress of the sector. To carry out the work, we had logistical facilities for the application of surveys to the residents of the Paquisha neighborhood belonging to the Loma de Franco parish, in addition to bibliography on the subject. The main objective was to determine the level of significance in local development that the current community organization and participation has in the neighborhood and to work together to seek improvements for the sector through the analysis of information and the application of data collection instruments. The project was based on empirical-inductive approaches based on quantifiable information or numerical data in addition to the verification of hypotheses and rational-deductive because quantitative information (surveys) and qualitative information (in-depth interview and direct observation) have been counteracted, giving the interpretation of the object of study. In the same order, experience was used as a way to create new knowledge and achieve a concrete and investigative depth, which contributes to obtaining reliable results to gather criteria regarding community organization and its intervention to promote local development. It should also be noted that the methodological process was mixed, since the research is based on numerical data and qualities of the investigated object to obtain information based on real events and with a quality investigative process. The results obtained reflected the low levels of community organization and as a consequence problems that affect the social security of the inhabitants, the poor management, the lack of leadership by the committee members, the deficient infrastructure of the playground and green areas, the disunity of the residents and the lack of basic services, which makes it difficult for the sector to advance. Finally, a proposal was made that arose as a result of the research carried out where a low level of organization and citizen participation is evidenced, generating some problems that have delayed the progress of the neighborhood, it is necessary to intervene in the sector with a plan of community action to strengthen the teamwork of the residents by supporting the management of the members of the Pro-improvement committee. A key factor in carrying out the proposal is the predisposition of the citizens and the committee so that an action plan can be carried out focused on the planning of strategies and actions that strengthen the organization and community participation by integrating the directive with the community in general in activities that sensitize and promote the empowerment of the inhabitants and thus form part of the organizational growth and community management "Safe neighborhood".
