Abstract

Parental neglect originates within the family, is attributed to adults or parents who for various reasons or circumstances disregard their parental functions, consistently omitting or partially or totally failing to fulfill the care and basic needs of their children. Within the family there is an exchange of customs, traditions, experiences, knowledge, in addition, rules, values and beliefs are implanted, which together allow personal development and incursion into society in a responsible way. However, when the family is not a support and growth entity, problems or conflicts may arise within the family circle, which can be defined as the deconfiguration or rupture of the roles adopted by one or more of the members that make up the family. Furthermore, if the prevailing parenting style is negligent, then most likely young people are immersed in problematic situations such as dropping out of studies, criminal behaviors, aggressive behaviors, emotional instability, drug use, early sexual intercourse, unwanted pregnancies, etc. In this sense, this essay aims to carry out a personological analysis of the protagonists of the film Gimme Shelter Looking for a destination and to draft a therapeutic intervention plan from the appropriate humanistic approach to improve their emotional state and strengthen their coping capacity. in the face of difficulties.
